There were some important updates during the preparation of this guide. There might some steps which you will encounter the older photos of the machine. Due to time it takes to shoot the photos we simply decided to keep the older versions as it is for now.
We added an voltage/current meter to measure how much power the stepper motor draws. This will also ensure if the motor is working within limits and make adjustments to the speed when needed during extrusion.
Revision 2
There were some important updates during the preparation of this guide. There might some steps which you will encounter the older photos of the machine. Due to time it takes to shoot the photos we simply decided to keep the older versions as it is for now.
We switched the stepper motor controller with a more advanced better version.
A small opening added to top middle panel. The purpose of this opening is for inspect and adjusting the position of the shaft coupler spacing during first time startup. There is a small cover that covers it during the normal extrusion operation to avoid any plastic pieces or other foreign objects to fall inside.

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. IT MAY DAMAGE THE TERMINAL BLOCK.
Place the transparent cover over terminal block.
Step 17: Magnet holders - Preperation
Previous
Next
MAKE SURE TO APPLY ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF GLUE INSIDE THE MAGNET HOLDER. OVERGLUING MIGHT RESULT THAT MAGNET STACK IS PERMANENTLY GLUED EACH OTHER AND IT MAY IMPOSSIBLE TO SEPARATE IT LATER. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND USING A SUPERGLUE SINCE IT MAY LEAVE WHITE RESIDUE. HOT SILICONE GLUE IS RECOMMENDED.
Grab all of the T and L shaped magnet holders and group them as shown in photo.
Grab 2 magnets and stack them together. They should attract and snap each other.
Grab any of the magnet holders and apply a small amount of super glue inside the circular magnet housing located on each magnet holder.
Take the magnet stack and insert through the magnet housing to glue it in place.
Place the magnet stack is all the way in through the magnet holder. MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO EXTRA GLUE COMING OUT OF THE HOLE SO MAGNETS SHOULD BE NOT GLUED EACH OTHER!
Repeat this step for the remaining magnet holders.
Insert 8 pieces of M3-4mm heat inserts on L shaped magnet holders through the marked holes as shown in photo. DO NOT INSERT ANY HEAT INSERTS TO THE T SHAPED MAGNET HOLDERS!
Divide and create 3 groups all of the magnet mounts and panel holders as shown in photo. Make sure that parts are aligned as shown in photo for easy identification. We will use it as a guide in the next few steps for easy installation.
1st group consists 3 different subgroups named A, B and C respectively that will be mounted on front side of the machine where extrusion nozzle is located.
2nd group consists 4 different subgroups named AX, AY, BX and BY respectively that will be mounted on middle section of the machine.
